Every Cloud has a 'Silver' Lining

Some mornings I wake up
and ask myself
why I am here
trying to make up
letting the day go by
pretending to fake up
all the things that make me happy
and content with life
I take up
a pill to kill another insignificant pain
in my head
but then I see you
and everything somehow seems to fall into place
my shoulders drooping no more underneath my face
my feet dancing to a different sound
struggling no more to keep them above the ground

I know things didn't work out the way I planned
and promised to you when I carried you in my arms the very first moment
as a gift of love for another loved one
little did we know
you will create the invisible bond
people sometimes call hope

with you now by my side

This morning ain't going anywhere
and so am I

I love you Papooooooooo

A Tale

the night was auspicious it seems
the beach water still and so were the nearby trees
whispering a meeting of its kind
of a rooftop cat and wandering rabbit
the match seemed a misfit
the cat relentless and passionate
the rabbit composed and sedate
but fate had a different tale
the purring of the cat had won over the pale
they went places as the world gasped
in joy of a union so special
the cats united, the rabbits delighted
of nights filled with cat kisses
and days with other remisses
the cat changed for the good
and withstood
all storms and rapids
in the name of love
they made love
under one moon
but fate had a different tale
the constant purring had made the rabbit frail
the match seemed a misfit
the cat composed and innate
the rabbit restless and irate
changed their paths they did as the world gasped
in cloy of a disunion and farewell
the night is auspicious it seems
the beach water still and so are the nearby trees
where voices whisper of a tale
of a rooftop cat
and his hidden paws
counting his flaws
alone in his sleep
